At Advantage Automotive, we are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved team member and friend, Gary Martin MacLeod. Gary passed away on December 14, 2024, leaving behind cherished memories and a lasting legacy that will forever be remembered by all who knew him.

Gary joined the Advantage Automotive family over three years ago and quickly became a vital part of our team with his skill, dedication, and warm personality. An exceptionally talented auto mechanic, Gary was known for his attention to detail and ability to solve even the most complex automotive challenges. Whether troubleshooting an engine issue or helping a customer understand their repair options, Gary approached every task with professionalism and a willingness to go above and beyond. His contributions were invaluable, and his positive attitude inspired everyone at the shop.

Born on August 30, 1964, in Chicago, Illinois, Gary grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He attended Grant Middle School and Manzano High School, where he developed a love for ice hockey, a passion he carried with him throughout his life. Beyond the automotive world, Gary brought a fun-loving, team-oriented approach to all he did—values reflected in his years on the ice and in every interaction with his colleagues and customers.

Gary was a devoted family man who treasured his role as a husband to his late wife, Casey Osborn MacLeod, and as a loving father to his children, Trinity and Matthew MacLeod. He was also the proud son of Celeste and William MacLeod and a caring brother to Mark Andrews and Paul MacLeod. Gary’s compassion, kindness, and humor made him a friend to so many. His presence was a source of warmth and comfort to all who walked through our doors, and he had a unique ability to make people feel welcome and valued.

We at Advantage Automotive extend our deepest sympathies to Gary’s family, including his many relatives and friends who cherished him dearly. To his children, Trinity and Matthew, and all his loved ones, please know that Gary’s legacy remains deeply woven into the fabric of our workplace and hearts. He was more than a colleague—he was family.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Gary will be held on March 9, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Moose East Heights Lodge in Albuquerque. This gathering will be an opportunity to reflect on the remarkable life Gary led and the countless ways he touched everyone who knew him.

Gary, your memory and the mark you left on Advantage Automotive will live on forever. We are better because we had you in our lives. Rest in peace, dear friend—you will be greatly missed.

With heartfelt condolences,
The Advantage Automotive Family
